Doraville City Councilman Robert Patrick has been elected the 2018 president of the DeKalb Municipal Association (DMA). Patrick, Mayor Pro Tem for Doraville, was also recently re-elected in November to his second full term on the Doraville City Council for District 1.

The DMA is a nonprofit organization that was formed to help foster better cooperation among the cities of DeKalb County.  The purpose of the association is to promote understanding between government authorities of all levels of government and to effect ways and means of providing maximum efficiency and economy of government to the citizens of the municipalities located in whole or in part within DeKalb County. The association also promotes building vibrant downtowns and healthy communities.

Member cities of DMA include Avondale Estates, Brookhaven, Chamblee, Clarkston, Decatur, Doraville, Dunwoody, Lithonia, Pine Lake, Stone Mountain. DMA also works closely with the Georgia Municipal Association, MARTA, ARC and other state and regional organizations.
