National Night Out, an annual event that promotes police-community partnerships, will take place from 4 to 8 p.m. tomorrow (Tuesday) at the Farmers Market, 5600 Buford Highway. There will be activities for all ages. Doraville Police and the DeKalb County Fire Department will bring some of the equipment they use to keep our community safe. Other agencies scheduled to participate: the Drug Enforcement Administration, U.S. Attorney's Office, Georgia State Patrol, DeKalb County Solicitor-General's Office and U.S. Census Bureau.

DeKalb County's Census Caravan will visit from 4:15 to 4:35 p.m. to share information about how residents can help with the 2020 U.S. Census.

After the National Night Out festivities, turn on your porch light and leave it on until 6 the next morning, as a sign that we appreciate and respect our police. Let's light up the city and support police-community partnerships!
