On Wednesday night, the Doraville City Council unanimously approved three resolutions to provide economic relief to local businesses during the coronavirus pandemic.

In a special meeting via teleconference, the council extended the renewal of Occupational Tax Certificates (business licenses) to May 1 and delayed the monthly reporting of the Alcohol Beverage Tax until June 20, at which time the months of March, April and May would be due. The latter does not apply to wholesalers or package stores, only to businesses that sell alcohol by the drink.

The council also approved a resolution requesting that commercial property landlords grant a 60-day rent abatement to tenants.
